East of West’s second album Moving Home offers a fresh set of original compositions by Bosnian-Australian double bass player Goran Gajić.

Over the four years of their collaboration, the trio’s musicians have developed an intuitive musical relationship which emerges through their dynamic interplay, virtuosic unison melodies and expressive soloing, interspersed with moments of mesmerising musical sparseness. Gajić’s compositions explore gentle melodic motifs nested in uptempo passages set to Balkan-influenced rhythms.

Recorded live in Brisbane during 2022, Moving Home has further established the band’s unique sound and style, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in its finely-crafted soundscapes and improvisations.
